"I had a cyst in the joint of my thumb that interfered with my clinical classes that I needed to take for nursing school. My podiatrist recommended I go to Professional Orthopaedic Associates, specifically the Tinton Falls office to see Dr. Johnson. After consultations with him, we decided a surgical approach would be the best for me based upon the cysts position in between nerves. Shortly after the surgery, I went to occupational therapy, and was quickly able to return to school. Thanks to Dr. Johnson, I didn't have to give up my dream of an education in the medical field." -- Nicole

"On October 2, 2013, I was playing soccer at Rowan University, when I twisted my knee in an awkward manner. My mother was able to call Professional Orthopaedic Associates and schedule a MRI, since I was previously a patient there already. I was able to have my MRI read the same day by Dr. Johnson, only to find out that I had torn my ACL. Since I was in college, we decided to put the surgery off until after Christmas. I went to physical therapy until the day of my surgery, December 27. After receiving ACL surgery early in the morning, I went back home where multiple people called to check in on me and see how I was doing. The first few weeks were tough, but with the help of Dr. Johnson and going to physical therapy, I was able to manage it and get back to walking normal in about a month. Soon after, I was able to get rid of my knee brace altogether and feel normal again. I did hit a few rough patches when something did not feel right in my knee. But thanks to Dr. Johnson, I was able to get an appointment very quickly. He had helped me figure out what was wrong and the problem was gone within a few weeks. On October 21, 2014, I was officially cleared to return to soccer and sports. I am now currently playing soccer again, and my knee is stronger then ever! I could not have done this process without the help of Dr. Johnson or the staff of Professional Orthopaedic Associates. I am very thankful for everything they have done over the past year!" -- Samantha G.

Dear Dr. Johnson:
I would like to thank you for your efforts in making our patient's experience the best possible.  Specifically, a patient mentioned you on the patient survey, the comments included "Grateful to Dr. Chris Johnson's care and expertise."
We take great pride in our medical and dental staff and you are an example of the reason why.

"Dr. Johnson, I wish to thank you for the great job that you did for me on two occasions. The first was a couple of years ago after a sever ligament tear to my left thumb. Since then it has healed tremendously and it is now a non-issue in daily performance on the job, when I'm working out or in the future as I perform my summer duties life guarding.

The second was the most recent operation you performed on my knee to take care of a torn piece of cartilage. Though I still think about it in order to protect it, I shocked myself when to perform a task that involved the use of brute force i used that very leg and didn't realize I had until afterward. I of course rebuked myself for doing so, but it put a smile on my face realizing that the knee was solid.

I also wish to give a sincere thank you for the greatest confidence you instilled on my daughter when she saw you. She was amazed when you got on the phone and got her an appointment within a week with a doctor that she was not able to get an appointment for over a month. She also said that she felt tremendously comfortable with your overall demeanor and courtesy towards her in a personal way and not just a clinical manner.

We've known one another since high school and I am proud to tell people that fact. Not just because you are an excellent doctor and surgeon, for which I recommend you, but because you are a fine individual that really does care about his patients." ~ Mark S.

"Dr. Johnson, I wanted to thank you for all of the help you have provided me with my wrist operation. I made it through the entire basketball season without any problems and had the opportunity to play in the Group 2 state championship game. None of it would have been possible without your help. Thank you,"

Dear Dr. Johnson, I am writing this thank you card with a pain-free hand, thanks to your care and expertise in treating my carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger. I am so happy that I had the surgery and I am truly grateful for having met you and I am so appreciative of your personal and professional attention. ~ Marie B., Ocean Twp.

Dear Dr. Johnson, I want to thank you for being so generous in performing my ACL surgery. I know that you are a very busy doctor and what you did for me was unbelievable. I am very confident that I am going to be able to return to baseball this spring. I am recovering well and doing my PT three times a week and I feel very optimistic about my college baseball career, thanks to you.
~Thank you again, Sincerely, Jordan B. Oakhurst, NJ

Dr. Johnson: On behalf of all parties involved, I would like to thank Dr. Johnson and the rest of his staff for helping Jordan Bell, a senior baseball player at Ocean HS, make it back to a sport he loves. Jordan is 4.5 months post op from ACL surgery. After passing functional tests and baseball drills he was cleared to play. His first games back to he went 3-for-4 with 3 doubles and a stand-up steal home on a passed ball. In his second game he went 1-for-3 with a double. To say that everyone is nothing but amazed would be an understatement. ~ John A. Desimini, ATC at Ocean Township High School

Dr. Johnson, I again just needed say thank you for your incredible generosity towards Jordan. Your sincere unselfishness that you and your colleges extended towards my family will forever be remembered. I want you to know that it has impacted Jordan & me in that the "pay it forward" philosophy will continue with us.

Jordan continues to do community service volunteering whether at the Food pantry, volunteering for his school and Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. He now has a very personal point of reference on how it feels to be the recipient of such acts of kindness. Also he hand wrote thank you letters to everyone involved.

I am currently in volunteer training for Red Cross Shelter help and completed Hospice training. I especially look forward to participating in these organizations when all my kids head off to college in August. '" ,.. . Your good will never be forgotten.. ~ from the parents of Jordan in Ocean Township, NJ

Dr. Johnson, I just wanted to take a minute to praise your staff! From making my 1st appointment, requesting medical records and asking for billing help, I received top notch customer / patient service. I got what I needed and I got extra help with my billing issue. Not only a call back from Carol, but followup from others on staff on my behalf. Your staff goes above and beyond what you need. They are pleasant, helpful and they deliver on their promises. I just thought you should know, because these days this is EXTREMELY RARE Thanks for a great experience. You guys are top notch!!
