Local Surgeon Initiated into American College of Surgeons

Dr. Glenn Gabisan was among 1,291 Initiates from around the world who became Fellows of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) during convocation ceremonies at the College’s recent 93rd annual Clinical Congress in New Orleans last month.

Dr. Gabisan received a medical doctorate degree in 1997 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry and he is currently practicing at Professional Orthopaedic Associates located in Tinton Falls, Toms River and Freehold. In 2006, Dr. Gabisan attained board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Gabisan treats all conditions of the foot and ankle including reconstructive surgery, arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine.

To be a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons means that the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College.
