“I came to see Dr. Gentile because of pain and swelling in my right thumb and wrist. He took x-rays and explained to me, in detail, that I had a bone spur at the base of my thumb that was causing inflammation. He then told his advanced treatment options to me. After being treated with medication and doing some therapeutic exercises, the swelling went down, and I had normal function of my hand and thumb. I was pleased with Dr. Gentile, his detailed explanations, and the results of treatment.”

Treating Doctor:“Dr. Torpey did my Revision rotator cuff surgery, after the 1st one by another orthopedic surgeon let go an anchor after 10 months of pain, rehab and being careful. I am a female in my early 60's so the first shot is always the best. However, I believed in Dr. Torpey for the revision surgery and so far my rehab for 4+ mos. had a good outcome, range of motion and all. Although I feel I may never get the strength back that I had before, God willing I will be painless after a year and be able to go back to my normal activities without worrying I will pull something out again. But it has been a long road, 2 surgeries in one year and all that rehab. My take on Dr. Torpey is that he a very nice, caring person, and a fine doctor.”

Treating Doctor:“Dr. Gesell is one of the most caring doctors I have ever seen. He did my knee replacement a year ago from a car accident and I would do it all over again with him. My knee is perfect with no pain and I can extend and flex with no problems. I can stand for a long time, when before, I could only stand for approximately an hour. He was very caring and he looked in on me in the hospital to make sure I was doing okay and making sure I was doing my exercises! If it wasn't for Dr. Gesell, I would still be in pain, still be frustrated, and I would still be limping or on crutches! Thanks to Dr. Gesell, I can walk now, even though I need a hip replacement.This is how caring he is, my hip is so bad, he referred me to Hospital for Special Surgery, which is where he did his fellowship, to a great doctor. Thanks to Dr. Gesell, I will be walking without any aids, like a cane or a walker. Thanks to Dr. Gesell and the very caring staff at Professional Orthopaedic Associates, I can get straightened out! Treating Doctor:“I want to thank Dr. Jason Cohen and the staff at Professional Orthopaedic Associates for the care and support that I received throughout my procedure. From the time of my first phone call for my initial visit, to the most recent post-surgery check-up, I never felt as a “number,” but as someone as important as a family member. Dr. Cohen was very compassionate to the pain I was feeling as well as making me feel more at ease with the surgical procedure that was inevitable. The pain from the collapsed disc was so unbearable, that whenever I would cough or laugh, the pain would bring me to tears. As instructed by Dr. Cohen, the physical therapy made the recovery from the removing of the disc and the fusion of the two vertebrae very fast. It has now been over 2 years after the surgery, and I’ve never felt better. My husband reminds me that the scar from the incision is virtually invisible. Once again, thank you to a wonderful doctor and staff!!”
