“I had lower-back surgery due to a herniated disc in August of 1999, followed by a breast cancer diagnosis at age 30 that very same year. Although I came through with flying colors, I was discouraged to find out that I had yet another herniated disc in 2011. The thought of more surgery was upsetting so I devoted many hours a week to physical therapy. Unfortunately, the therapies did not alleviate my symptoms. A very dear friend recommended Dr. Cohen to me. I was extremely impressed with him after my first appointment. He reviewed my MRI films with me and explained all of my options. He was extremely patient, professional, and I appreciated his conservative approach. Although surgery was my only real option, I was totally confident with Dr. Cohen performing my surgery. I am happy to say that the end result was fantastic! I am running and exercising again, and I have never been happier! I am in better shape at 45 than I was in my 20’s! A special thanks is extended to Dr. Cohen. I would not ever hesitate recommending him to a friend.”

“I have been a patient at Professional Orthopaedic Associates since the beginning. I was an original patient of Dr. Bade in the Long Branch office. Dr. Bade has performed three of the five surgeries on my left knee. The other two were performed out of state. Dr. Bade was consulted on both surgeries and both were performed by physicians based on his recommendations. Dr. Jason Cohen performed a C Spine disectomy on me in 2005. Over the years and various other injuries or follow-ups on existing injuries or surgeries, I have been seen by the other doctors in the group and have been very satisfied with all of them.”

They were always available to discuss an issue or resolve a problem or just to give you a hug. They are not only doctors but all are very caring people which now a days is very rare. Also I like to say thank you to the staff who are also professional caring and compassionate people but always returned your call or followed up with any questions. “I had been experiencing pain in my left knee for quite some time which was hampering me from enjoying my daily and athletic activities. Dr. Foos diagnosed my problem & began with the least invasive treatment. When this did not relieve my knee pain, he ordered an MRI which showed that I was a candidate for knee replacement surgery. I appreciate that Dr. Foos was very conservative in his diagnosis and gave me plenty of time to consider all of my options. I chose knee replacement surgery as I am a 72-year-old woman who is looking forward to maintaining a very active and athletic lifestyle. It has been two weeks since my surgery. I am attending physical therapy 3 times a week and feel that I am making good progress. I am looking forward to a full recovery. “Dear Dr. Gentile and Staff, About ten days ago our 13 year-old son, Joey, collided with a base runner during a baseball game. He broke his front tooth and his left thumb. With the remainder of his soccer and baseball seasons hanging in the balance, he was extremely anxious to see a doctor for a prognosis. Most offices wanted to put us off for a couple of days, but the uncertainty was driving him crazy! Dr. Gentile agreed to see him on a Tuesday in the Toms River office even though he was not seeing patients that day. For our stressed familys first experience with anything like this, your office has been amazing to us! From Tina, who got us the appointment immediately to caring Verna at the office to Sherry who has gone above and beyond producing notes that my son 'forgot' to Dr. Gentile, who took the time out of what, I am sure, is an already packed schedule, to see a frightened, anxious 13 year-old boy. Absolutely everyone has been such a pleasure, every step of the way! Then two weeks later, our other son also broke his thumb. Someone suggested that I should see a doctor in my plan. I said without hesitation, 'No, that other office was not understanding or accommodating. I have had such a great experience with Dr. Gentiles office that I dont want to go anywhere else. We will make it work to stay with them.' I just really wanted to pass along how much your kindness has meant to my family. Your office came through when not many would, but you did so with smiling faces and compassionate hearts.
