“My family sees other physicians within Professional Orthopaedic Associates, and we argue over who had the better experience. Whether for knees, necks, backs, or ankles - we know where to go - Professional Orthopaedic Associates! I have been a patient of Dr. Gabisan's for a little under a year, but I must say that I wish he was not just an orthopaedic. His bedside manner is amazing. He sits, listens, and asks questions to better understand your issue. When you are a patient of his, you are a person not a number or a set of symptoms. I have been having issues with the same ankle over the better course of 7 years. He listened to the each issue, and then went further, and helped me come up with strategies to alleviate the tension and stress on my joint. Not to mention he warned against future injuries in my other ankle because of loosening ligaments. While the physicians are attentive and caring, it is not just Dr. Gabisan who makes the experience comforting, his office staff, Roz and RoseAnne worked with my crazy schedule to help get the scans I needed, and a chance to see Dr. Gabisan where I would not feel rushed. Even though in my future is probably a surgical procedure I think I can say I look forward to knowing that I will have all of the answers to my questions, and someone supporting me through it all.  ”

“"Dr. Torpey has given me back my mobility and my quality of life twice. Twenty years ago he did bilateral total hip replacement surgery. Nearly five years ago, he did bilateral total knee replacement. Both sets of surgery went extremely well. “I have been a patient at Professional Orthopaedic Associates since the beginning. I was an original patient of Dr. Bade in the Long Branch office. Dr. Bade has performed three of the five surgeries on my left knee. The other two were performed out of state. Dr. Bade was consulted on both surgeries and both were performed by physicians based on his recommendations. Dr. Jason Cohen performed a C Spine disectomy on me in 2005. Over the years and various other injuries or follow-ups on existing injuries or surgeries, I have been seen by the other doctors in the group and have been very satisfied with all of them.”

“Dear Dr. Gabisan, Thanks to you I was able to take the cruise and go on all of the shore excursions and climb hundreds of steps going to museums and cathedrals. “Dr. Gesell, From the time I called and made an appointment up until the time of surgery, I had felt support from Dr. Gesell and his staff, i.e.; Amanda Aversa, Lisa Vito, and Colleen Rackett. No question was too silly and they always made time to answer my questions. Dr. Gesell put me at ease at the first visit and my MRI revealed that I had a torn rotator cuff (in my shoulder). Dr. Gesell had me go to physical therapy first, but, the pain never subsided. It was my choice to have the surgery when I did. The entire experience went much better than I expected and having the surgery at the Surgical Center proved to be an excellent choice. The nurses were gracious and the anesthesiologist was impeccable. The entire procedure went smoothly. I had a nerve block put in before the surgery, which helped me to cope for the three days following the surgery. Recovery is a long process. There are good and bad pain days. I am having passive physical therapy now and see Dr. Gesell this Friday. Dr Gesell always stressed that recovery will take time...and patience is key. I would gladly recommend Dr "G" as a surgeon. He has definitely won me over with his skill as a surgeon and his ability to communicate to his patient and their family.”

“I broke my ankle and went the emergency room where another doctor examined me and told me I would need surgery but had to wait two weeks until the swelling went down. Luckily for me it gave me the time to look for another doctor and a friend recommended Dr. Gabison. I had him do my surgery two years ago and  he is the best doctor I have ever used. He is patient, competent, soft spoken, compassionate and a down to earth doctor. I would highly recommend him.”
