“I underwent emergency lumbar spinal surgery, expertly and swiftly performed by Dr. Cohen within hours of meeting him to relieve crushed nerves as a result of a severely herniated disc. Some years later after developing symptoms that included severe pain down the back and front of both legs, Dr. Cohen performed a Transpsoas Interbody and Posterior Lumbar Fusion at L3-4, L4-5. I put my trust in Dr. Cohen and he saved me twice. During my hospital stays, Dr. Cohen visited me every day, not only to check on my condition but to comfort me and my family. God made a good man and fine surgeon when he made Jason Cohen. I have been Dr. Cohen's patient for years now. He, his nurse Adrienne and the rest of his staff are kind, compassionate, dedicated, and very hard working. They are also excellence teachers. Dr. Cohen and Adrienne took the time to educate me and answer questions about my condition, the type of surgery I would receive, and the necessary post-surgical care to be administered. There is no need to travel to New York or Pennsylvania in search of a spinal surgeon when we are fortunate enough to have the best spinal surgeon right in our own backyard.”

“Came to see Dr. Bade after an incident that happened over a year prior where I experienced a pain like no other while trying to lift heavy dresses over my head after picking up their hangers from behind. After a thorough exam it was determined that there was nothing seriously wrong (whew!) and that some light exercise would help. While other doctors might have gone for more expensive tests or physical therapy or prescription medication, Dr. Bade always takes the time to listen to me, ask additional questions, and do a thorough hands-on examination. I know I'm in good hands (literally).”

“I received a catastrophic knee injury in 1978 as a 16-year-old football player. I spent the next 29 years of my life having acute pain and 8 knee surgeries, until Dr. Bade performed a total knee replacement in 2006. The surgery was better than anything I ever hoped for. The recovery went well, quick, and 8 weeks almost to the day, I rode in the MS50, 50-mile bicycle charity event on the Jersey shore. I had over twice as long in my life with terrible knee pain and limitations that I had forgotten how to go to bed at night and fall asleep without having to take aspirin, prop my leg and have ice. I will never be able to thank Dr. Bade enough and I refer anyone who asks, "Where did you get your knee done?" to Dr Bade and Professional Orthopaedic Associates.”

I cannot even think of going anywhere else for back surgery if either one of us needs surgery again, and it will be by Dr. Cohen. If I have a question about my treatment, Dr. Cohen or one of his staff always gets back to me. Dr. Cohen says that my wife and I are now like family and he treats us like we are. “Dr. Gesell, I have been a patient of Dr. Gesell's for approximately two years. He has performed two procedures for me on my left knee. He is an amazing surgeon and person. After the procedure, I have complete use of my knee and I am virtually pain free. Most importantly, Dr. Gesell always treated me with absolute professionalism - courtesy and respect. He listened to my concerns on both the pain and use of medications during and after the procedure. He devised a plan with me to address the process of leaving behind the use of pain medications in a medically safe way after healing. I would highly recommend or refer anyone to seek out his care for there specific orthopedic needs.”

“Last year, I saw Dr. Bade because my right shoulder was bothering me. He ordered a CT scan, and after review prescribed physical therapy. The PT made a complete difference in how I felt... Dr. Bade indicated no further action was required at that time... I was very pleased that he did NOT jump on the chance to operate... it was obvious he had MY best interest in mind. Unfortunately, I damaged the shoulder further... this time I need surgery because the rotator cuff is in fact severely damaged. I have complete confidence in Dr. Bade, and look forward to getting back to my old self again.”
