Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“I broke my leg at 10 PM on July 12th and taken to Monmouth Medical. X-rays were taken and confirmed it was a fractured femur. Dr. Cohen saw me very soon after the x-rays, and we discussed my options. It got decided the best course would be a partial hip replacement. Since I was on Plavix, it got done the next evening. I'm happy with the operation and care I received, as there was no pain at all in the hip and there hasn't been any since. Eight months, and I can walk without any support. Did I mention that I'm 75? I would recommend Dr. Cohen.”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“Dear Dr. Gesell, I have been very pleased to work with Dr. Sheela Iyer during my physical therapy sessions in May and June. She is very knowledgeable and an amazing advocate. Further, she tailored my sessions to optimize my progress. I realize all the above represent her job responsibilities yet I felt she went above and beyond each session. I am so grateful I chose Professional Orthopaedics Physical Therapy during my recovery. Also, thank you very much for my successful hip replacement surgery as well as the at-home after-care associated with the VNA. My hip is pain-free and I am thrilled.”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“I actually damaged my shoulder several years ago, but aggravated the injury in November 2014. Dr. Bade looked at my shoulder, ordered X-rays, and an MRI, after which he sat with both my wife and me (spending an hour with us discussing options). He advised that I must perform physical therapy before he would even consider surgery (he did not jump at the chance to do surgery). I went through the PT, and unmistakably, my shoulder felt so much better. I felt so good, that I did not intend to request surgery, but unfortunately I injured the shoulder again while lifting my 95 year old mother after she had fallen. I will need to see Dr. Bade once again . . . and look for his expert advise before jumping to any 'surgery' conclusions.”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“Dr. Nicholson is intelligent and easygoing. The appointment was on-time, not having the client wait long as in other offices. I would recommend Dr. Nicholson for orthopedic purposes. Glad I went to him for my broken wrist.”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“Dr. Gesell, From the time I called and made an appointment up until the time of surgery, I had felt support from Dr. Gesell and his staff, i.e.; Amanda Aversa, Lisa Vito, and Colleen Rackett. No question was too silly and they always made time to answer my questions. Dr. Gesell put me at ease at the first visit and my MRI revealed that I had a torn rotator cuff (in my shoulder). Dr. Gesell had me go to physical therapy first, but, the pain never subsided. It was my choice to have the surgery when I did. The entire experience went much better than I expected and having the surgery at the Surgical Center proved to be an excellent choice. The nurses were gracious and the anesthesiologist was impeccable. The entire procedure went smoothly. I had a nerve block put in before the surgery, which helped me to cope for the three days following the surgery. Recovery is a long process. There are good and bad pain days. I am having passive physical therapy now and see Dr. Gesell this Friday. Dr Gesell always stressed that recovery will take time...and patience is key. I would gladly recommend Dr "G" as a surgeon. He has definitely won me over with his skill as a surgeon and his ability to communicate to his patient and their family.”

Treating Doctor:“I have been seeing Dr. Gentile for YEARS and I love him. He takes a measured approach and wants to try everything non-invasive first. My brother needed shoulder surgery this summer, he took my advice and saw Dr. Gentile who confirmed what everyone was telling him (much to his chagrin). Unfortunately, he's a good hour north and he found a doctor closer to home. But hearing it from someone he trusted, was all he needed. Dr. Gentile is never allowed to retire. ;)”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“We felt Dr. Nicholson was a very knowledgeable doctor. He explained everything that we needed to know before and after surgery. From the front desk to his surgery coordinator, Beth, we are delighted with the office. ”
– William J.
Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“I was pleased with the friendliness of the staff, the minimal wait time, and the professionalism and thoroughness of Dr. Gentile.”
– Caroline T.
Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“Dr. Foos is the best, he has in-depth knowledge about my torn PCL, but more importantly he can explain it to a person without the same level of knowledge!”
