“We have been patients of Dr. Bade for 21 years. He has done 6 knee surgeries and 1 hand surgery on Lou and 2 hip surgeries and 1 hand surgery on Judy. Dr. Bade is just the best – his surgical skills are unsurpassed and his manner and the time he takes to explain everything is excellent. We would  highly recommend him to anyone in need of an excellent surgeon. His office assistant, John, is also very capable, friendly and helpful. We recently had the experience to meet with and confer with Dr. Gesell and were equally impressed with him. He was also very informative and highly qualified. We would not consider going to New York or anyplace else when we have the best right here.”

“When your child breaks a bone, it is a terrifying experience. Unfortunately, my son, Matthew, age 12, broke both bones in his right forearm and experienced a great deal of pain. After being treated at the hospital emergency room, Matthew needed follow-up care from a caring and experienced orthopedist. I asked many friends and family members and they recommended Professional Orthopedists and gave them great reviews. My son and I met with Dr. Johnson and his staff and he was treated with such care, it immediately put us at ease. The technician and nurse who x-rayed Matthew were knowledgeable and gentle, and helped him deal with the pain that he was in. Dr. Johnson then met with us and reassured us that Matthew would have a full recovery. He explained the x-rays in terms that we could understand and showed us how the bones could heal without having to go through surgery. Dr. Johnson used a hard cast to ensure that the bones were set in a corrective position- something that we couldn't imagine when we first saw the x-rays. His sense of humor and great bedside manner kept my 12-year-old son in good spirits, while he kept a nervous mom informed and at ease. At the one week follow-up visit, we met with Dr. Gesell, Dr Johnson's partner. He was also equally caring and professional. Dr. Gesell showed us the follow-up x-rays and showed us how the bones were repairing themselves and were back in a healthy and stable position to fuse back together. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to be in the care of such skilled and professional doctors. Matthew is expected to have a full recovery, which is just amazing after all that he went through. To see him smile and laugh means the world to us. We know that the care he received at Professional Orthopedists made all the difference to him and our family.”

“Dr. Bade is a meticulous surgeon whose skills are hard to duplicate. Prior to my hand surgery his explanation of the process was so thorough and complete that he even pulled out a surgical textbook to show me illustrations of what he was going to do. I have thorough and total confidence in Dr. Bade. When the time comes for knee replacement I do not plan to consult any other surgeon. His widespread experience and calm demeanor helps in large measure to assuage patient fears. I cannot recommend him highly enough.”

“As an avid outdoor sportsman and active volunteer in two organizations that promotes Conservation of our NJ Natural Resources through the use of proper forestry stewardship, hunting, fishing and trapping, it was too painful to maintain my sports and volunteerism with the constant pain in my knee, hip, and lower back. Knowing that I had bone on bone in my knee, I opted to visit Dr. Gesell after attending one of his seminars on Robotic Surgery. He recommended that I get an epidural spinal injection. “My daughter Angela is a high school soccer player. She injured both ACLs (plus her meniscus and MCL) in a nine-month span. We, as a family, were so distraught after her first injury. Angela was assured by Dr. Torpey that she would be back on the playing field, but I don't think she really believed it would happen. Sure enough she had a remarkable recovery and was back practicing within five months! But after her second injury, she didn't even want to think about playing soccer again. Dr. Torpey made her feel confident from her visit with him that everything would be okay. He just has a calming, yet "upbeat" way about him. As parents we were so scared at the thought of Angela needing surgery and complications that could accompany it. Dr. Torpey gained our trust and confidence in no time. We were not intimidated discussing our smallest concerns. We never at any moment felt like we were being rushed out of the office because he had other patients to attend to. We often feel like that with other practices. The few times we had to call during off hours, we immediately received a return phone call. We also received phone calls from Dr. Torpey himself just to see how she was doing. We felt like we knew him for a very long time. Anytime someone gets hurt, "Go see Dr. Torpey" are the first words out of Angelas mouth, followed by "He is amazing."”
