“I have been a patient since 1998 and anytime I need care, this office is the only one I go to. I have seen not only Dr. Foos, but also Drs. Swick, Johnson and Gabisan. The staff is wonderful and I can't praise Dr. Foos enough. He is fabulous! The practice has seen me through a spinal fusion, meniscus tear repair(left knee), carpal tunnel (right hand) and many sessions for herniated discs and knee pain. Their professionalism and caring are beyond any other medical experience I've had.”

“Professional Orthopaedic Associates and Dr. Glenn Gabisan in particular, represent what an orthopaedic practice and physician should be. He diagnosed my knee problem after reviewing x-rays and a MRI that were conveniently performed in the same building at the Tinton Falls office. The practice's policy is to use surgery as a last resort, which I truly appreciate. They try to see each patient within a reasonable time frame of the appointment, and they do not seem to overbook. The office staff and the technicians are extremely competent as well. I have recommended several other patients, including my gymnast granddaughter to this practice, and they were treated by other physicians of the practice in the same professional manor. In the future, if I or any friend or relative need orthopaedic attention, this is the practice I will use and recommend.”

“I had been experiencing pain in my left knee for quite some time which was hampering me from enjoying my daily and athletic activities. Dr. Foos diagnosed my problem & began with the least invasive treatment. When this did not relieve my knee pain, he ordered an MRI which showed that I was a candidate for knee replacement surgery. I appreciate that Dr. Foos was very conservative in his diagnosis and gave me plenty of time to consider all of my options. I chose knee replacement surgery as I am a 72-year-old woman who is looking forward to maintaining a very active and athletic lifestyle. It has been two weeks since my surgery. I am attending physical therapy 3 times a week and feel that I am making good progress. I am looking forward to a full recovery. “I'm pleasantly surprised and I say pleasantly because I did not expect the level of satisfaction I got from this office. I'm now retired from the corporate world and I find myself complaining how offices are terribly run and how, nowadays, people just don't care-most of them want to do the minimum required and could care less if client satisfaction is being provided.  A couple of years ago, I needed a shoulder specialist and by pure luck I decided to have Dr. David Gentile look at my shoulder.  Dr. Gentile took his time to explain in details what he was going to do to solve my problem.  He operated on my right shoulder and as he predicted, my shoulder was fixed.  A year later, while teaching soccer in the community, a kid ran into me and because my bad knee did not provide me the right balance, I feel and my other shoulder now needed to be repaired.  Dr. Gentile performed the operation and again he fixed it.  I decided to have a full knee replacement and to my regret, I did not call Dr. Gentile; I let my therapist convince me to see another surgeon- a mistake I regret and I'll never forget.  I found this new office to be rude; not to care about their patients and worse yet, I found the doctor to take the "I could care less attitude."  My knee replacement was a complete failure.  The insurance company gave me the permission to see a different doctor for a second opinion and at the same time they told me a revision was being negated.  I was not going to make the same mistake and this time I called Dr. Gentile for his recommendation - he recommended Dr. Mark Gesell.  On June 24, my revision took place.  While waiting for June 24, a family member got hurt.  I asked, once again, Dr. Gentile for his advice.  He recommended Dr. Glenn Gabisan and with no hesitation we went to him.  She got her procedure done and we are both in the recovery stage.  Dr. Gentile is now a key person for me - any problems I go to him and thanks to Dr. Mark Gesell, for the first time, I feel confident my knee will be fine.   Doctors, thank you very much; thanks to all of you I feel I'll be able to enjoy a normal life.”

“Dr. Gesell helped me to feel confident about the surgeries that he would perform. He explained the surgical procedure and what I should expect after as far as mobility and pain levels as the healing time progressed. His demeanor made me feel sure that I had the correct doctor for each of my procedures. He first performed a total hip replacement which I had put off for much too long. I now have a well-performing hip that makes me feel like I have the bone of a 15-year-old. Dr. Gesell also fixed the tears in my right shoulder. He told me what to expect after the surgery and how long my recovery would take. Now I have a pain free shoulder. Dr. Gesell is also treating me for my right knee which has a tear and some arthritis. He has done two injections that have helped immensely, although I do know that somewhere down the line I will need a knee replacement, he has assured me that we can wait until that procedure is necessary for the quality of life which I do have at this point with the injections.
