Supporting Stronger Bones at Every Age

At Professional Orthopaedic Associates, we’re committed to helping you stay strong, mobile, and independent now and for years to come. Good bone health is essential at every stage of life, supporting movement, protecting the body, and reducing the risk of fractures that can limit your independence.

We’re proud to offer focused care for osteoporosis and comprehensive bone health support, led by board-certified nurse practitioner Jacqueline Passariello, NP-C, RNFA. Through early assessment, targeted treatment, and a preventive approach, our bone health and osteoporosis program helps improve long-term mobility, reduce fracture risk, and enhance overall quality of life.

Who’s at Risk for Bone Loss?

While anyone can experience declining bone density, some individuals face a higher likelihood of developing osteoporosis or related conditions. Risk factors include:

  • Age 50 and older
  • Family history of osteoporosis or fractures
  • Postmenopausal women
  • Low body weight or limited weight-bearing activity
  • Long-term use of corticosteroids
  • History of fractures from minor injuries
  • Medical conditions that affect bone metabolism

Our team provides comprehensive assessment and personalized care for patients with bone loss or those seeking to prevent fractures before they occur.

Common Conditions We Treat

Our bone health and osteoporosis services address a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Age-related bone loss
  • Osteoporosis and osteopenia
  • Fragility fractures
  • Falls or repetitive stress injuries related to weakened bone structure

Each patient receives an individualized plan designed to protect bone strength, improve mobility, and reduce future injury.
