"DR. Johnson is just wonderful! My daughter, Ana, now age 8, has been a patient of Dr. Johnson's since she was 5! For a little one, going to the Doctor isn't always the easiest experience. However, to sum up how awesome Dr. Johnson is, my daughter, on her own had written ( at age 5 on the table paper while waiting in the examining room), "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Dr. Johnson is awesome, and Ila is, too! ( Ila, is his amazing OT). Thank you Professional Orthopedics for your outstanding care!" – Toni M
"We are extremely pleased with the treatment our son received from Dr. Johnson. He is so knowledgeable and so kind, he takes plenty of time with his patients. The office staff is so organized and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dr Johnson to friends in Holmdel! Thank you for such a positive experience for our family!" - Susan H.
"Dr. Johnson was quick to accommodate scheduling an emergency consultation and surgery for a badly injured finger, and was very forthcoming with what was his opinion and what was fact in terms of what treatment my finger required to heal as fully as possible. Although I did opt for the full treatment, he admitted that the finger would be perfectly healthy if he did a less extensive (and expensive) treatment, but it would not be nearly as aesthetically pleasing, and I appreciated his recognition of this information. Also, I was leaving the area only a week after my surgery was scheduled, yet Dr. Johnson was fully willing and capable of accommodating me and giving me all of the information I needed to be okay to travel with the injury and last until I could visit a doctor in the location I was moving to. He even knew of a good doctor in the new area that he sent my patient documents straight to so that checking in at this new doctor's office was far more painless than it would have otherwise been. Great guy and a great doctor!" – Tyler P.

I like this conservative method and am very happy with his style. He's an excellent physician and takes the time needed to evaluate his patients. I'm very satisfied!" – Georgene B.
"I had dislocated and fractured my wrist in Florida. When I came back to New Jersey I needed a follow-up physician. Dr. Johnson was thorough, personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I was concerned with the plate that had been surgically implanted in Florida, and he assured me that I was doing well. Thanks to his expertise and encouragement, and the Occupational Therapy and physical therapy which I received on another floor in his building, I am getting back to normal and very grateful!" – Camille M.

"Dr. Chris Johnson is a wonderful doctor and person. When I had my bi-lateral carpal tunnel surgery and trigger finger surgery he called me himself to see how I was doing. He is a very caring, compassionate, individual. Also, when I had problems with my shoulder he gave me a steroid injection he was very honest with me before administering the injection and very caring as well. I will always see Dr. Johnson if I have further needs with my hands, fingers or shoulders. Thank you" – Patricia D.
"I fell on my left arm and went to the ER with a follow up three days later with Dr. Johnson. Since my arm was still swollen, he was extremely patient and put a splint on my arm followed by a cast the following week. Dr. Johnson then put a removable splint on a few weeks later and recommended I go for physical therapy. I found Dr. Johnson very competent and knew exactly the proper course of action" – Robert F.

"I love Dr. Johnson. He is so caring. He is the best but I would not go to anyone else." – Debbie D.
"He was right on target with his diagnosis He recommend PT unlike the other doctor wanted to operate just by reading an MRI, No examination. I've had PT for 2x's a week for 5 wks. My pain from my neck down to my numb fingers is gone. PT ended over a month ago, pain has not returned. Great experience highly recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone. Thank you for giving back my life." – Robert R.
"Dr. Johnson actually listens to his patients which is rare today. I have a history of not fracturing a bone but rather tearing ligaments and tendons. I guess that is good. After having a negative X-Ray he ordered a MRI right away without making me wait a few weeks and lo and behold I had some ligament tears. Unfortunately, these were old tears that I did not even know that I had. I had just reinjured the old ones. After a few weeks of therapy I was as good as new. This became a very quick process without a lot of waiting around." – Karen C.
"From the minute that I walked in I was treated very professionally. Dr. Johnson is the best doctor!!!" – Iturbe
"I fell and broke my wrist. Scheduled surgery with Dr. Johnson at the Surgery Center and was well take care of before Dr. Johnson performed surgery. Afterwards, I was in a lot of pain and was well taken care of again at the Surgery Center. He put in a plate and 8 pins. It amazing my wrist is fine. I recommend Dr. Johnson, besides being a great surgeon he is a sweet person. Sounds silly, but that is how I think of Dr. Johnson—he's such a sweet person." – Linda H.

"Dr. Johnson went above and beyond. The staff is amazing and so friendly and helpful." -- Rose C.
"I had a shoulder surgery in February of 2014 by one doctor. Won't mention his name. And it didn't go well. After 9 months of physical therapy things weren't go right. I was referred to Dr Johnson and got a second opinion from him, turns out I needed another surgery. Dr. Johnson did the surgery in January of 2015. I went for physical therapy again until May and went back to work June 1st. I wish I had Dr. Johnson the first time. What a pleasure it was to have been associated with Professional Orthopaedic, I think the whole staff is AAA. I love those guys. Would highly recommend, very friendly and professional. They make you feel like one of the family." -- Kevin J.

Nothing is too much trouble for anyone working there to do for you. From refilling a prescription to figuring out an insurance question, the staff make it known that they are at your disposal. One thing that I really appreciated very much is the no wait time for an appointment. It seems you just sign in and you are being seen by Dr. Johnson. Dr. Johnson is extremely caring and reassuring in his assessment of your specific problem. Kudos to an extremely well run and organized office." -- William V.
"Have had rheumatoid arthritis for years, I am 73, and no one has identified it before this. Dr. Johnson identified it and treated the present problem within two visits...My wrists were swollen so bad and so painful, that they resembled a couple of old catchers mitts.....After taking care of the swelling and pain, I was referred to a Rheumatologist, whom I am seeing now------time will tell--- my wife is under the care of another Orthopedic surgeon in this group----and she has nothing but praise for him also.....The entire staff or that part that we have dealt with, have all been excellent----Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You." John R.
"Dr. Johnson was extremely professional and kind. I was in pain from arthritis and the tingling and numbness in my right arm and hand was particularly disturbing. He had sent me for a nerve test which established problems of carpal tunnel in both hands, but more of a problem in my right. Dr. Johnson operated on my right hand and I was given an injection in my left hand. My recovery is excellent and I am now able to do tasks which I had previously been unable to perform. Karen, my physical therapist is outstanding, caring, and very professional. I sincerely appreciate all the professionals who addressed my pain and arthritis. I was becoming depressed with the pain and inability to do the simplest tasks, but now the opposite is true. Thank you." – Sharon F.
"Dr. Johnson is always attentive and thorough. I like that he seeks alternatives to surgery first and if none are available he performs the most basic operations to solve the problems. The associated physical therapy office is professional and caring. This office makes you want to come back!" – William C.
"I am very pleased with the services provided by Professional Orthopaedic Associates. Dr. Johnson is an excellent and caring doctor. I would recommend Dr. Johnson and Professional Orthopaedic Associates to anyone." – Maria C.
"Dear Dr. Johnson, Clorinda, & All the Office Staff at Professional Orthopaedic Associates, I just want to say again thank you for your incredible kindness and generosity towards me and my family. You are truly the most sincere, caring, and unselfish human beings that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I have been a patient of Professional Orthopaedic Associates for many years. Dr. Johnson, you have treated our family for at least 30 years now. From my in-laws to my children and now to me. From the moment we met, you always made me feel at peace. I will admit, I have been thrown a couple of curve balls in my time and am very fearful when it comes to doctors, but knowing that I am in your hands, has always left me so comforted. Clorinda, where do I begin. You are the best for always fitting us in for immediate appointments and helping us with paper work and insurance. Your calming presence and efficient organization has pulled this family through many procedures, from fractured bones in my son’s ankle’s, knees, and hand, to my irregular EKGs and then being sent instantly to your own cardiologist. Thank you. Having this tremendous disc pain has been torture. I had been in severe pain for approx. 7 months. My neck, back, and left arm all hurt. My pain got to the point that I could only stand. Sitting was unbearable. Dr. Johnson, you examined me and knew right away that something funny was going on. That same day, I was introduced to your associate Dr. Cohen, who confirmed I needed an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. Surgery was scheduled two weeks later after all pre-testing was approved. You have gone above and beyond to help me get to where I am today. Checking on me weekly to make sure all pre-testing was on scheduled and that I was not in pain. I was very afraid as my insurance was not taken at the office and I received a call that night to say not to worry. I am a widow with three children and one still in college, so I was very scared of the finances. Insurance companies denying most everything as they do. And also worrying that the worst would happen in surgery. It is such a foreign concept to be told by your office that “Professional Orthopedic puts their patients 1st and not the finances." They explained they would work with my insurance company and they stood by what they said! I am so happy to say that surgery took place April 24th - one week ago. I was home the next day 100% pain free and feeling better that I have in years. I had my follow up visit with Dr. Cohen six days later and was so excited to be told all was successful. Even your front desk staff hugged and welcomed me back. YOUR KINDNESS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTON!!!! You are truly an angel. God bless you for your talent, kindness, and compassion." - Elaine R.
"When your child breaks a bone, it is a terrifying experience. Unfortunately, my son, Matthew, age 12, broke both bones in his right forearm and experienced a great deal of pain. After being treated at the hospital emergency room, Matthew needed follow-up care from a caring and experienced orthopedist. I asked many friends and family members and they recommended Professional Orthopedists and gave them great reviews. My son and I met with Dr. Johnson and his staff and he was treated with such care, it immediately put us at ease. The technician and nurse who x-rayed Matthew were knowledgeable and gentle, and helped him deal with the pain that he was in. Dr. Johnson then met with us and reassured us that Matthew would have a full recovery. He explained the x-rays in terms that we could understand and showed us how the bones could heal without having to go through surgery. Dr. Johnson used a hard cast to ensure that the bones were set in a corrective position- something that we couldn't imagine when we first saw the x-rays. His sense of humor and great bedside manner kept my 12-year-old son in good spirits, while he kept a nervous mom informed and at ease. At the one week follow-up visit, we met with Dr. Gesell, Dr Johnson's partner. He was also equally caring and professional. Dr. Gesell showed us the follow-up x-rays and showed us how the bones were repairing themselves and were back in a healthy and stable position to fuse back together. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to be in the care of such skilled and professional doctors. Matthew is expected to have a full recovery, which is just amazing after all that he went through. To see him smile and laugh means the world to us. We know that the care he received at Professional Orthopedists made all the difference to him and our family." - Audrey O.
"I had a cyst in the joint of my thumb that interfered with my clinical classes that I needed to take for nursing school. My podiatrist recommended I go to Professional Orthopaedic Associates, specifically the Tinton Falls office to see Dr. Johnson. After consultations with him, we decided a surgical approach would be the best for me based upon the cysts position in between nerves. Shortly after the surgery, I went to occupational therapy, and was quickly able to return to school. Thanks to Dr. Johnson, I didn't have to give up my dream of an education in the medical field." -- Nicole
"On October 2, 2013, I was playing soccer at Rowan University, when I twisted my knee in an awkward manner. My mother was able to call Professional Orthopaedic Associates and schedule a MRI, since I was previously a patient there already. I was able to have my MRI read the same day by Dr. Johnson, only to find out that I had torn my ACL. Since I was in college, we decided to put the surgery off until after Christmas. I went to physical therapy until the day of my surgery, December 27. After receiving ACL surgery early in the morning, I went back home where multiple people called to check in on me and see how I was doing. The first few weeks were tough, but with the help of Dr. Johnson and going to physical therapy, I was able to manage it and get back to walking normal in about a month. Soon after, I was able to get rid of my knee brace altogether and feel normal again. I did hit a few rough patches when something did not feel right in my knee. But thanks to Dr. Johnson, I was able to get an appointment very quickly. He had helped me figure out what was wrong and the problem was gone within a few weeks. On October 21, 2014, I was officially cleared to return to soccer and sports. I am now currently playing soccer again, and my knee is stronger then ever! I could not have done this process without the help of Dr. Johnson or the staff of Professional Orthopaedic Associates. I am very thankful for everything they have done over the past year!" -- Samantha G.
Dear Dr. Johnson: I would like to thank you for your efforts in making our patient's experience the best possible. Specifically, a patient mentioned you on the patient survey, the comments included "Grateful to Dr. Chris Johnson's care and expertise." We take great pride in our medical and dental staff and you are an example of the reason why. Sincerely, Frank V.
"Dr. Johnson, I wish to thank you for the great job that you did for me on two occasions. The first was a couple of years ago after a sever ligament tear to my left thumb. Since then it has healed tremendously and it is now a non-issue in daily performance on the job, when I'm working out or in the future as I perform my summer duties life guarding. The second was the most recent operation you performed on my knee to take care of a torn piece of cartilage. Though I still think about it in order to protect it, I shocked myself when to perform a task that involved the use of brute force i used that very leg and didn't realize I had until afterward. I of course rebuked myself for doing so, but it put a smile on my face realizing that the knee was solid. I also wish to give a sincere thank you for the greatest confidence you instilled on my daughter when she saw you. She was amazed when you got on the phone and got her an appointment within a week with a doctor that she was not able to get an appointment for over a month. She also said that she felt tremendously comfortable with your overall demeanor and courtesy towards her in a personal way and not just a clinical manner. We've known one another since high school and I am proud to tell people that fact. Not just because you are an excellent doctor and surgeon, for which I recommend you, but because you are a fine individual that really does care about his patients." ~ Mark S.
"Dr. Johnson, I wanted to thank you for all of the help you have provided me with my wrist operation. I made it through the entire basketball season without any problems and had the opportunity to play in the Group 2 state championship game. None of it would have been possible without your help. Thank you," ~ Timmy M.
Dear Dr. Johnson, I am writing this thank you card with a pain-free hand, thanks to your care and expertise in treating my carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger. I am so happy that I had the surgery and I am truly grateful for having met you and I am so appreciative of your personal and professional attention. ~ Marie B., Ocean Twp.
Dear Dr. Johnson, I want to thank you for being so generous in performing my ACL surgery. I know that you are a very busy doctor and what you did for me was unbelievable. I am very confident that I am going to be able to return to baseball this spring. I am recovering well and doing my PT three times a week and I feel very optimistic about my college baseball career, thanks to you. ~Thank you again, Sincerely, Jordan B. Oakhurst, NJ
Dr. Johnson: On behalf of all parties involved, I would like to thank Dr. Johnson and the rest of his staff for helping Jordan Bell, a senior baseball player at Ocean HS, make it back to a sport he loves. Jordan is 4.5 months post op from ACL surgery. After passing functional tests and baseball drills he was cleared to play. His first games back to he went 3-for-4 with 3 doubles and a stand-up steal home on a passed ball. In his second game he went 1-for-3 with a double. To say that everyone is nothing but amazed would be an understatement. ~ John A. Desimini, ATC at Ocean Township High School
Dr. Johnson, I again just needed say thank you for your incredible generosity towards Jordan. Your sincere unselfishness that you and your colleges extended towards my family will forever be remembered. I want you to know that it has impacted Jordan & me in that the "pay it forward" philosophy will continue with us. Jordan continues to do community service volunteering whether at the Food pantry, volunteering for his school and Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. He now has a very personal point of reference on how it feels to be the recipient of such acts of kindness. Also he hand wrote thank you letters to everyone involved. I am currently in volunteer training for Red Cross Shelter help and completed Hospice training. I especially look forward to participating in these organizations when all my kids head off to college in August. '" ,.. . Your good will never be forgotten.. ~ from the parents of Jordan in Ocean Township, NJ
Dr. Johnson, I just wanted to take a minute to praise your staff! From making my 1st appointment, requesting medical records and asking for billing help, I received top notch customer / patient service. I got what I needed and I got extra help with my billing issue. Not only a call back from Carol, but followup from others on staff on my behalf. Your staff goes above and beyond what you need. They are pleasant, helpful and they deliver on their promises. I just thought you should know, because these days this is EXTREMELY RARE Thanks for a great experience. You guys are top notch!! A. Jones ~ Red Bank, NJ
Just a brief note to express my gratitude to you and Carla. The professional manner in which I have been treated has been most impressive and greatly appreciated. ~ Mike S., Point Pleasant, NJ
Dear Dr. Johnson, My son has been under Dr. Torpey's care for over five years now for a shoulder injury and we have always been extremely happy when dealing with him and his staff. It is so comforting that he recommended you to treat his hand injury because we see that we are getting the same exceptional care and treatment. ~ Valerie Z., Holmdel, NJ
"Dr. Johnson, When I first walked into your office, my shoulder hurt so bad, I was limping! Okay, that's a tad over dramatic, but you get my point. But it was all good from that point on. From the concern and efficiency of your front desk staff to the support and patience of Calla Chizan, I felt well taken care of by the administrative staff. And Carod Dolan seemed to make my treatment her #1 priority whenever I called. The medical team in Tinton Falls that I dealt with were outstanding. From nurses to x-ray techs the care and concern demonstrated were highly appreciated. I am sorry I can't remember their names. A special mention for "Sarah" (I hope I got that right. I wasn't exactly sharp that day.), the pre-op nurse at the surgical center. She was professional, efficient and re-assuring to a pretty frightened, uptight individual that day. And last, but NOT least, thank you for being so good at what you do. I am well on my way back to 100%. I can not thank you, and your team enough." ~ M. McInerney, Matawan, NJ
"Dear Dr. Johnson, I cant thank you enough- seriously. You went above and beyond to help me (with my carpal tunnel syndrome and chronic tennis elbow) and Ill never forget it. Thanks to you I am sleeping again without agonizing pain. You truly are a wonderful person." ~ Kind Regards, Michelle L. Highlands, NJ
"Dr. Johnson, I am just so thankful that you fixed my knee. If it weren't for you, I don't think I'd be playing soccer for the Red Bulls right now. After my therapy, I started and lead my high school team to the states. I had the most assists in the league and was named to the honorable mention all county team. You and (PT) Sheila saved my soccer career. We just got finished playing with the U-17 US National team. I also went to Florida to play in a national showcase. If it weren't for you I wouldn't be experiencing all of these unforgettable moments. I'm really grateful for what you have done. Thanks again for everything!" ~ Sincerely, Chris G. Rutherford, NJ
"Dr. Johnson, I have to express my thanks for your work on my surgically repaired ankle. I have just returned from a two week trip to Japan (8 months after surgery for my broken leg) where I was able to keep up with people ten years younger than myself, walking all day, running for trains, over all terrain, huge flights of stairs, etc. You did a wonderful job and I certainly appreciate it." ~ Doris S. in Pompano, FL
"I am an Equine Dentist and am 59 years old. In 2007, I fractured my collarbone in a horse related accident. Because of the nature of my occupation, it’s imperative that I have full range of motion of all my extremities. The recovery required a surgery performed by Dr. Johnson. He inserted a plate and 5 screws to repair my collarbone. In about 7 months, he removed the plate. Thanks to Dr. Johnson and therapist Shelia, I made a full recovery. Then about a year ago, I developed a problem in my knee. The pain was excruciating and I could barely walk, let alone work. Again, my job is extremely physical and requires the use of your entire body, from fingers to toes. Again, I visited Dr. Johnson and he repaired my knee surgically. I was back doing moderate work on horses in 10 days. Shelia was supervising my rehab and helping me get back my range of motion. Of course, it took time to recover. My knee got stronger and my range of motion came back as the weeks went by. Now, a year later, my knee is perfect. I have no pain and have complete range of motion. I am on my feet all day long, doing strenuous work, working most days, and my knee never bothers me at all. As a matter of fact, I would say it’s the best part of me. As far as I am concerned, these people are the best in the business. I recommend them all the time to people with orthopaedic issues and would call on them again if I ever have another problem. They are truly healers and take a genuine concern about their patients well being. If it was not for them, I would not have been able to continue my career as an Equine Dentist. Thank you again, Dr. Johnson and Shelia." -- Ed K.
"Very pleased with the help I received from Dr. Johnson. I came to him in 2000, with a knee problem that had me at times on crutches. Dr. Johnson diagnosed my knee problem as osteoarthritis. The first medical group I saw diagnosed a different condition and wanted to do surgery. That is when I went to Dr. Johnson. He treated my knee with an injection and physical therapy. I have lived with my knee condition and am able to do almost most anything. I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone that asked me for a doctor." -- John B.
"I have been a patient of Professional Orthopaedic Associates for many years. Dr. Johnson has cared for every member of my family at some point, and I would never consider another practice for orthopaedic needs. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Tinton Falls office has an imaging center and physical therapy services on site, making it a very convenient, full-service location." -- John G.
"Dr. Johnson operated on both of my elbows in January and February of this year for cubital tunnel syndrome. It is truly amazing how well I have recovered. I missed almost no work, and have returned to full sports and recreational activities, including baseball and guitar." -- Greg F.
"In 2010, during my junior year of football at Moravian College, I suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle in the second game of the season. I met with Dr. Johnson the following Monday, and by the end of that week, I was in and out of surgery. After a years worth of healing and rehabilitation, I made a come back for my senior season, without missing a snap the entire year. I'd like to thank Professional Orthopaedic Associates, and especially Dr. Johnson, for helping me get back on the field one more time, and making such a miserable situation go smoothly." -- Stephen K.
"It was a pleasure to be a patient of Dr. Johnson. I was a patient at the Toms River office. The staff at that office was wonderful to me. I had problems with arthritis in my left knee. After taking x-rays, Dr. Johnson gave me a shot of cortisone and prescribed physical therapy. Both the shot and the physical therapy did work really well for me at the time. Dr. Johnson is a wonderful, caring doctor. Thank you." -- Judith H.
"I had an open dislocation to my left ring finger (MIP joint), suffered during a rugby game. I was reaching for a loose ball when a player from the opposing team came in with her foot. This was the second injury to the same finger treated by Dr. Johnson. Previously, I had a fracture that required two pins to properly set the bone. Both injuries had amazing outcomes, and I couldn't be happier with the care I received from Dr. Johnson and the entire practice!" -- Christine D.
"August 2013, my 17 year old daughter had a boxers fracture on her right hand. I searched for 2 days to find a doctor that would take our insurance. I could have taken her to the emergency room, which would have cost over $3000, just to be looked at WITH insurance. Then we would have been told to go to an orthopaedic doctor to reset the hand and cast it.After being on the internet for 2 days searching for a doctor, I found Professional Orthopaedic Associates at 5:55 in the evening and left a distressing message on the machine. I told them that I needed care for my daughter with this certain insurance, that NO one was taking, or no one was available to see her for 3 weeks! At 6:00, I received a very calming voice on the other end of the phone that they would be able to help us. They had an agreement to take what ever the insurance would give them. The relief was indescribable. We went the next morning at 7:30 am. The office was friendly and very professional. Dr. Johnson was great. He was very professional and very relaxed with my daughter. We laughed about her boxer fracture that is usually a male injury, from hitting a wall. Temper temper. My daughter’s care was outstanding and very professional. I would go back if I needed to any time.I was nervous that the bill was still going to be high, with one child in college and the next one ready to go to college, our money is being handled very carefully. When I received the final statement from the insurance company of what we owed, which was zero. We paid our co-pays and they stood by what they said and took what ever the insurance company paid. All I could do was thank God first, and thank Professional Orthopaedic Associates for their generosity and their integrity. I haven't been able to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, until now. Our experience was a great blessing and a life lesson for my daughter. Never punch a wall when you’re mad." -- Laura S.
"I first saw Dr. Johnson back in my freshman year of high school (2004), after having knee pain during field hockey. Dr. Johnson attempted conservative treatment through rehab to get me through the season. At the end of the season, I went for my first arthroscopic knee surgery for a torn meniscus at the surgery center in Tinton Falls. My recovery with physical therapy was very quick and I was able to play basketball half way through the season. I finished high school and went on to play basketball at Brookdale Community College.Although, my visits with Professional Orthopaedic Associates did not end in high school. Dr. Johnson treated several more visits throughout college for various injuries. One injury included a tear to my meniscus of my other knee. So, the process repeated it self to get me through the season with rehab, then correct the tear with surgery after the season. My second arthroscopic knee surgery with Dr. Johnson was in the Toms River Surgery Center. Recovery again was very smooth, and I am happy to say I do not currently have any more knee troubles. Dr. Johnson, the staff at Professional Orthopaedic Associates, and the surgery centers are very professional, and have their patient’s care and safety first in mind. I would definitely recommend Dr. Johnson and Professional Orthopaedic Associates." -- Kimberly C.
"I had a synvisc shot in both my knees, followed by aquatic therapy, and then regular gym therapy. That was several years ago, and I am doing fine. A single shot with all doses at once did help me along with the therapy. So far, so good. I am glad that my son, Patrick, had me see Dr. Johnson. I would recommend this orthopaedic group to anyone in need of orthopaedic care." -- Grace D.
"I met with Dr. Johnson the day after rupturing my bicep tendon. He assessed my situation and scheduled surgery for the following afternoon. During the 2 days that passed prior to my surgery, he managed my pain and provided me with a detailed explanation of my injury and the surgery required to repair it. Dr. Johnson took into consideration that I am an avid sports enthusiast. I work out 5 days a week, enjoy golf, and playing men’s softball. The administrative staff worked quickly and efficiently with my insurance carrier to get the necessary approvals for my surgery. On the day of surgery, I was greeted by a staff of medical professionals, who went over the procedure again and made sure that my right arm was clearly identified as the surgical site. Dr. Johnson met me prior to surgery and double-checked the surgical site. If my memory serves me, the procedure took approximately 2 hours and some additional time in the recovery room. When I awoke from the procedure, the nursing staff was at my bedside, making sure that I was ok and also managing my pain. I left the medical center with a pump that allowed me to inject pain medication right to the site of the surgery. This method was so much better than taking pills. My wife was also given clear instructions for my post-operative care and she was provided several important phone numbers if there were any questions or complications after I got home. I met with Dr. Johnson one week after my procedure and he confirmed that everything was looking good. I started my rehab a few days later. The rehab took about 3-4 months before I was on my own. During that time, I had several follow up visits with Dr. Johnson. This was a much more significant injury than I initially thought but with the help of Dr. Johnson, the entire medical staff, and my physical therapist I was working out at full strength in about 6 months. I am so grateful to the entire team who cared for me. I would highly recommend this group of professionals to anyone in need of expert medical care. Thanks Dr. Johnson!" -- John B.
"Dr. Johnson operated on both of my hands for carpal tunnel syndrome. I have no more tingling, numbness, or pain in my hands. He also operated on a trigger finger, which is perfect now. Of course, Dr. Johnson is a great surgeon. He is a beautiful person inside and out, as well. I love him, and highly recommend him!" -- Terri R.
"After a Florida trip, at the beginning of my sophomore baseball season at St. John Vianney, I experienced shoulder discomfort. Dr. Johnson diagnosed and performed labrum surgery on my right shoulder. I am happy to say I was playing fall baseball that year and finished my career at SJU. I am now in my senior season at Misericordia University, where I have started at first base all four years. During my first three years at MU, my team had won our conference title three times, with three trips to the NCAA Regional. I am so fortunate that Dr. Johnson was my surgeon. I would have never experienced this great college experience without his excellent surgical performance." -- Joseph T.
"I fell and sprained my ankle. When I called, the staff quickly found an appointment for me later that day and were very friendly. They made me feel at ease and comfortable. Dr. Johnson explained what was wrong with my ankle, how we were going to treat it, and took time to answer all my questions. Thank you Professional Orthopaedic Associates." -- Kristen
