  • “Dear Dr. Gabisan, Thanks to you I was able to take the cruise and go on all of the shore excursions and climb hundreds of steps going to museums and cathedrals. My left foot, which had the tendon moved, held up very well. I wasn’t in pain at all. There was no swelling either. We had a wonderful trip. Thanks again.”

  • “When your child breaks a bone, it is a terrifying experience. Unfortunately, my son, Matthew, age 12, broke both bones in his right forearm and experienced a great deal of pain. After being treated at the hospital emergency room, Matthew needed follow-up care from a caring and experienced orthopedist. I asked many friends and family members and they recommended Professional Orthopedists and gave them great reviews. My son and I met with Dr. Johnson and his staff and he was treated with such care, it immediately put us at ease. The technician and nurse who x-rayed Matthew were knowledgeable and gentle, and helped him deal with the pain that he was in. Dr. Johnson then met with us and reassured us that Matthew would have a full recovery. He explained the x-rays in terms that we could understand and showed us how the bones could heal without having to go through surgery. Dr. Johnson used a hard cast to ensure that the bones were set in a corrective position- something that we couldn't imagine when we first saw the x-rays. His sense of humor and great bedside manner kept my 12-year-old son in good spirits, while he kept a nervous mom informed and at ease. At the one week follow-up visit, we met with Dr. Gesell, Dr Johnson's partner. He was also equally caring and professional. Dr. Gesell showed us the follow-up x-rays and showed us how the bones were repairing themselves and were back in a healthy and stable position to fuse back together. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to be in the care of such skilled and professional doctors. Matthew is expected to have a full recovery, which is just amazing after all that he went through. To see him smile and laugh means the world to us. We know that the care he received at Professional Orthopedists made all the difference to him and our family.”

  • “Words cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Jason Cohen. I was in excruciating back pain because of a herniated disc and very nervous about getting surgery. The only thing I could do without pain was lie flat or stand straight. Any sitting , bending, sneezing, etc was intense pain. Dr. Cohen got me in right away, his team got me an MRI that same day and he explained the procedure to me and told me that he could get me out of pain. I trusted him and his team and they did just that! In a very short time frame, I was back to paddleboarding, yardwork, yoga and beach volleyball. NO Restrictions!! I got my life back, pain free!! The other HUGE component was that his team verified my insurance for me (something you really don't feel like doing when you are in that much pain) and there was very little out of pocket expense! Life is too short to be in pain when you have a surgeon like Dr. Cohen around. He's the best!!! Feel so blessed. Thanks again Dr. Cohen!!!”

  • “After years of neck and back pain, my symptoms began to inhibit my everyday life. I decided to make an appointment with Professional Orthopaedic Associates since my sons and other family members were established patients, and I chose Dr. Cohen since he specializes in spine issue. I really thought this first appointment would establish me as a patient "just in case" my condition should become more severe. After my initial appointment and subsequent MRI, Dr. Cohen explained that surgery would be my best option. I was surprised, but based on what my "untrained" eye could easily see on the MRI, I knew having the surgery sooner would be better than later. We scheduled the surgery which went very well, and eight weeks later, I'm happy to report that my recovery is going very well. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to drive, return to work, and remove the dreaded "neck brace." The entire staff at Professional Orthopaedics treated me very well as did the staff at Monmouth Medical. I should also add that Dr. Cohen has a very kind and confident demeanor, which I found comforting.”

  • “17 years ago, I first saw Dr. Bade following a skiing accident, which injured my left shoulder. Following x-rays, it was determined I had damaged my rotator cuff. Rather than move towards surgery, he recommended I start with physical therapy. He insisted to see if that would solve the problem, bring back my range of motion and ultimately relieve the pain. It worked and I never forgot that option to avoid surgery. Now nearly 20 years later, I again came to see him for a second opinion. I was experiencing recurring pain in my left hip and another orthopaedic surgeon was recommending a total hip replacement after seeing me one time. Again, Dr. Bade, upon reviewing my x-rays, did not believe surgery was necessary at this stage and that I should begin a process of exercise and therapy to see if I could find relief that way. Here I am, 7 months later and pain free with the old hip. I can't say enough good things about this group!”
