And he was very patient and explained everything thoroughly in our follow up visits. His expertise transformed my life from being almost crippled to walking 4 miles a day again only six weeks after surgery.”

“I was getting ready for work early a.m. on 12/13. While putting my socks on, something happened to my left hip. I literally could not move an inch in any direction without extreme pain (never felt pain that intense in my life 62 years old). I thought I dislocated or broke the hip. My wife called 5 different orthopaedic offices, and no one would see me that day except Dr. Gentile. I had a walker in the house, was able to make it to the car, and my wife drove to the office.  Not only did Dr. Gentile see me that day, but he did not take my insurance. He said he would accept payment from my insurance, whatever it was, without additional charge to us. He took x-rays and his bedside manner was wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Gentile!  It took 2.5 months, but with only the medication Dr. Gentile prescribed, the pain in my left hip totally disappeared!! “I had been having problems with my knees, which in turn held me back from enjoying the retirement years that I was so much looking forward to. I decided to see Dr. Torpey at Professional Orthopaedic Associates to find out if there was anything that he could do to reverse the condition and associated pain. The examination was done along with x-rays and the results were that my knees were in bad condition, my right knee worse than the left. After exploring the options to remedy the situation, I choose to have my right knee treated with the Synvisc treatment. Before I had even completed the three-week treatment period, my knee felt great with no more pain and excellent mobility. To my benefit, the treatment lasted longer than projected, but then my knee started to fail again. I went back to Dr. Torpey, an examination was done again, and the result was that the only option was a knee replacement. I agreed and the wheels were set in motion for the operation. Dr. Torpey performed the successful operation in 2009. After a period of physical therapy, I have been pain free and active ever since.
