New, Advanced Sports Doctor Joins Professional Orthopaedic Associates
Fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon Gregory A. Parker, MD, has joined Professional Orthopaedic Associates. Dr. Parker is available to see patients at the practice’s offices in Tinton Falls, located at 776 Shrewsbury Ave., Suite 105; Toms River, located at 1430 Hooper Ave., Suite 101; and Freehold, located at 303 W. As a sports medicine doctor, Dr. Parker is dedicated to helping athletes and active individuals return to their favorite activities, from the recreational to the professional level. He specializes in surgical and nonsurgical treatments for shoulder and knee conditions, arthroscopic surgery, and shoulder and knee replacement. Dr. Parker’s advanced expertise includes:
- ACL injuries.
- Arthritis.
- Minimally invasive shoulder and knee procedures and reconstruction.
- Partial knee, total knee and total shoulder replacement.

A New Jersey native, Dr. Parker earned his medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Parker went on to complete additional subspecialized training in orthopaedic sports medicine through a fellowship at the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans, Louisiana.
