“I was told ... that I needed a knee replacement. Since my pain started after an injury and I didn't have chronic pain before, I went for a second opinion to Dr Foos. He disagreed. I had confidence in him because he explained everything to me in plain English. The staff were very reassuring, pleasant and kind: something missing at most Dr offices today. I had the arthroscopic surgery and feel great. In the past I also had a successful diagnosis from Dr Swik on my shoulder. The center where the surgery was performed is better than some hospitals.”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“I had lower-back surgery due to a herniated disc in August of 1999, followed by a breast cancer diagnosis at age 30 that very same year. Although I came through with flying colors, I was discouraged to find out that I had yet another herniated disc in 2011. The thought of more surgery was upsetting so I devoted many hours a week to physical therapy. Unfortunately, the therapies did not alleviate my symptoms. A very dear friend recommended Dr. Cohen to me. I was extremely impressed with him after my first appointment. He reviewed my MRI films with me and explained all of my options. He was extremely patient, professional, and I appreciated his conservative approach. Although surgery was my only real option, I was totally confident with Dr. Cohen performing my surgery. I am happy to say that the end result was fantastic! I am running and exercising again, and I have never been happier! I am in better shape at 45 than I was in my 20’s! A special thanks is extended to Dr. Cohen. I would not ever hesitate recommending him to a friend.”

Treating Doctor:“Dr. Johnson was quick to accommodate scheduling an emergency consultation and surgery for a badly injured finger, and was very forthcoming with what was his opinion and what was fact in terms of what treatment my finger required to heal as fully as possible. Although I did opt for the full treatment, he admitted that the finger would be perfectly healthy if he did a less extensive (and expensive) treatment, but it would not be nearly as aesthetically pleasing, and I appreciated his recognition of this information. Also, I was leaving the area only a week after my surgery was scheduled, yet Dr. Johnson was fully willing and capable of accommodating me and giving me all of the information I needed to be okay to travel with the injury and last until I could visit a doctor in the location I was moving to. He even knew of a good doctor in the new area that he sent my patient documents straight to so that checking in at this new doctor's office was far more painless than it would have otherwise been. Great guy and a great doctor!”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“I am an Equine Dentist and am 59 years old. In 2007, I fractured my collarbone in a horse related accident. Because of the nature of my occupation, it’s imperative that I have full range of motion of all my extremities. The recovery required a surgery performed by Dr. Johnson. He inserted a plate and 5 screws to repair my collarbone. In about 7 months, he removed the plate. Thanks to Dr. Johnson and therapist Shelia, I made a full recovery. Then about a year ago, I developed a problem in my knee. The pain was excruciating and I could barely walk, let alone work. Again, my job is extremely physical and requires the use of your entire body, from fingers to toes. Again, I visited Dr. Johnson and he repaired my knee surgically. I was back doing moderate work on horses in 10 days. Shelia was supervising my rehab and helping me get back my range of motion. Of course, it took time to recover. My knee got stronger and my range of motion came back as the weeks went by. Now, a year later, my knee is perfect. I have no pain and have complete range of motion. I am on my feet all day long, doing strenuous work, working most days, and my knee never bothers me at all. As a matter of fact, I would say it’s the best part of me. As far as I am concerned, these people are the best in the business. I recommend them all the time to people with orthopaedic issues and would call on them again if I ever have another problem. They are truly healers and take a genuine concern about their patients well being. If it was not for them, I would not have been able to continue my career as an Equine Dentist. Thank you again, Dr. Johnson and Shelia.”

Treating Doctor:“Dr Foos' care, prior to, during, and after my knee replacement surgery, was exceptional. I was a success story thanks to him. Now pain-free after years of discomfort evolving into chronic pain and instability of the point, I'm now able to resume all activities pain-free! Many thanks for the terrific care.”

Treating Doctor:Patient Rating:“Had debilitating leg pain due to a ruptured disk in L4/L5 region. As a tennis professional and recreational runner, my life as I knew it was over. Dr. Cohen performed surgery to relieve the pressure on the nerve causing the leg and foot pain. I was able to resume running within a few weeks and actually ran a 2:58 at the Chicago Marathon later that year, along with a personal best of 2:55 at Boston a few months after. Thank you Dr. Cohen. Without you, my running days would have been over!”

Treating Doctor:“Skiing at Whistler after collar bone injury!Dear Dr. Bade, Just a short note to thank you and your staff for taking such good care of my broken collar bone and encouraging me to stick with my plans of skiing after only two months of recovery. I took it easy and had a great time. Next year it is back to the double blacks.”
