My Comeback Story: Thomas L.
Ever since I’ve been seeing Dr. Gregg Foos (2008) all he has given me was hope that one day my quality of life will be much better. My knees took their toll throughout my life time of sports and he offered many solutions every which way. First with a partial Meniscus removal which got me through from age 49 through 62. But when I couldn’t handle the pain any longer I decided to do my first replacement on my left knee in 2022 at 62 years old. It was rough but with all the positive reinforcement from Dr. Foos and staff I got through it. With six (6) months of PT with amazing therapist at IVY Rehab my leg felt 40 years younger. But now my right knee needed surgery and with my daughter’s wedding approaching it just wasn’t in the cards. So Dr. Foos and myself decided on a cortisone shot in June which helped me get through it and the daddy daughter dance went off without a hitch.
I then scheduled my right knee replacement at age 64 for 10/23/23 at the same visit so that the cortisone would be out of my system for surgery. I had my surgery, did six (6) of PT once again at the same place same people and my right knee felt even better.
I am enjoying quality of life once again due to a great facility and of course a great surgeon in Dr. Foos. He even gave me matching scars and I receive compliments all the time and get asked who did my surgeries. I couldn’t say more about the relationship I gave encountered over the years with Professional Orthopaedic Associates and everyone there. Totally amazing and I always felt like family! I highly recommend this medical group for all your orthopedic needs. The photo shows me in Italy where I enjoyed much walking and swimming throughout my 14 day trip to a few countries.
