Allen D. Nicholson, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in nonsurgical and surgical care for the shoulder and elbow. Dr. Nicholson joined Professional Orthopaedic Associates in 2021.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Dr. Nicholson obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. Following his graduate degree, he continued his education through an orthopaedic surgery residency at the Yale New Haven Hospital. He dedicated an additional year to extensive training with a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Nicholson is an expert in the most modern and minimally invasive techniques for shoulder and elbow repair. With the patient’s long-term quality of life in mind, he makes it his mission to tailor each treatment to the unique needs of each individual.
Dr. Nicholson is available to see patients at our Tinton Falls, Toms River, and Freehold offices.
